Toddler Care

Plum & Tangerine Classrooms

15 to 35 months

Your baby is growing up—what an exciting time! At Four Square our childhood development program for children 15 to 35 months is carefully designed to encourage each child’s growing need for independence and an emerging sense of self, while nurturing intellectual growth, exploration, and socialization in a safe, loving, and supportive environment.

We have developed a schedule that responds to the needs of the children in an environment with different learning centers, a comforting routine, and a pre-k readiness focused curriculum that provides music, language, art, cognitive, social, and sensory experiences, in addition to developing gross and fine motor skills. The toddlers are consistently learning throughout their day; from free play to group time to meal time. Every transition is a learning experience

Toddlers rely on us for security. They need us to understand who they are at different stages, respond to their feelings and encourage them to explore. When we smile and laugh with them, admire their growing skills, and celebrate their very being, your toddler starts to see themselves as a person of value. We strive to meet their individual needs consistently and as promptly as possible, resulting in children who feel secure, which allows them to appreciate, respect, and get along with other children and adults.

Nature Inspired Classroom

Bringing the learning outside, and nature inside is a passion of ours. Research shows that children who play in natural settings are typically happier, healthier and more likely to appreciate the world around them. We desire to instill an awe and appreciation for the wonders of the world around them. Nature inspires exploring, discovery, risk taking, learning, creativity, health, social skills, well-being and independence. Our carefully selected monthly themes provoke child exploration and learning outside and inside. Children will investigate nature both inside and outdoors, on Four Square grounds, and on excursions outside of the fenced in play area. Four Square believes all people should be good stewards of the earth and we are proud to provide children with a safe place to explore the world around them and to gain a stronger connection to nature.

Core Values

Our mission is to support & nurture the children so they can grow fruitful in mind, body, and spirit, gaining a strong sense of self. At Four square we have four core values that we follow.

Brightwheel

Parents report that the peace of mind brightwheel delivers is invaluable! We know it’s tough being away from your little one all day, especially in these early years. With brightwheel you’ll feel connected and engaged with your child’s development on a whole new level.

“Switching Kensie to 4S has been a game changer for us!  I’ve never dropped her off and had to worry about her during the day – I KNOW she’s getting loved on and cared for.  Plus, she’s learning SO MUCH!  The mixture of routine/learning and free-play is GREAT!  Even with all of the kiddos each teacher juggles, I’m always told all about Kensie’s day when I pick her up as if she was the only one there; that’s truly special.  4s is the biggest blessing and Godsend!”
